Il Papavero is a lovely stone house built from rustic materials in the traditional Italian style using typical materials and original finishings such us cotto tiles, wooden beams on ceilings and terracotta tiles on the floor.
Set in the heart of Umbria, this villa has a breathtaking position at the top of a hill with a full view on the valley below. The sunset is best enjoyed on the covered terrace with a glass of red wine.
The house is spacious and has a welcoming atmosphere: the bedrooms are nicely furnished and the cooking/living area with fireplace is sunny and cosy.
From the kitchen and living area there is direct access to the furnished portico, ideal for enjoying meals 'al fresco' while admiring the splendid panorama.
The house is placed in quiet surroundings near the village of San Terenziano and at the same time, not isolated and close to all services. Here you will find all the essential amenities including a good pizzeria. Also the well known restaurant called "Le Noci" is nearby, ideal to savour the regional dishes, all freshly prepared.
There are good connections to Rome (90 min) and Florence (2 hours) and it can also be recommended to explore the area close by, as the famous Medieval Umbrian town of Todi, only 15 min driving away, Assisi 30 min far and Montefalco, famous for its Sagrantin world-class red wine, only 30 min away.
