Lungavalle borders at the back of the property with an asphalt road leading to Perugia,where once, between the 13th and 16th centuries, was the old via which linked Perugia to Orvieto, Lake Bolsena and the Francigena way.
This junction was also characterized by the presence of an building where Benedictine monks gave shelter to wayfarers, merchants, pilgrims and their horses.
