This historical residence is situated between Lucca and Siena is located near a famous place known for its production of high quality wine. The Castle is accessible through a charming road lined with cypress and pine trees at the end of which is a beautiful garden with private parking. Passing through the entrance hall, one row of steps leads you into the rose garden, an ideal place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. At the end of the garden, separated by a smaller gate is a swimming pool, open from mid-May till the end of September.
The castle is open during the summer months and it is rented weekly as an exclusive, private villa and it can accommodate up to 20 people with its 10 rooms: 4 doubles, 5 suites and a superior suite.
This is a land known all over the world for the production of DOC and DOCG wines so one of the activities that we recommend is a tour of the local producers, such as Sassicaia and Ornellaia.The bedrooms, arranged on different levels, all with en-suite bathrooms, are furnished with antique furniture, hand decorated ceilings, frescoes and numerous precious objects.
Each bedroom is provided with mini-bar, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and safe.
On the ground floor there is a noble entrance hall enriched with oil paintings and furnished with an important 18th century wooden table.
There are also three sitting rooms accessible from the main entrance hall: a well-stocked reading room with an antique wooden desk, a bar room with fireplace, a TV room richly furnished with an antique chest, two comfortable sofas upholstered with damask fabric, fireplace, satellite TV and DVD player. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the luminous dining room, decorated with frescoes and tiled with original ceramics. Internet wifi access can be found throughout the Castle.

Ground Floor: The entrance leads into a hall graced by oil paintings and important 18th century antiques. On the left of the entrance is a small sitting room furnished with an antique wooden writing table and bookcase. Another sitting room is situated at the end of the entrance hall; it includes a bar and fireplace. There is also a living room with comfortable couches, satellite TV, and Internet access. The dining room is situated on the right of the entrance hall; a door leads to an additional, smaller dining room and to the kitchen. There are staircases leading to the first floor on both sides of the entrance hall.
First floor: The staircase on the left leads to a suite with a double bed (composed of 2 twin-beds pushed together), bathroom with shower and terrace. There is an additional suite, without terrace access, with bathroom with tub and overhead shower. There are two additional bedrooms with double beds (composed of twin-beds pushed together) and en suite bathrooms, one with tub and overhead shower, the other with shower only. The tower, which houses a small bedroom, can be accessed via this wing. The staircase on the right of the entrance hall is furnished with two antique suits of armor. This wing includes the master bedroom, painted in cardinal red, that has a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom with tub and overhead shower. It is furnished with 17th Century antiques and it overlooks the gardens. There are two additional suites in this wing, both with double beds (composed of twin-beds pushed together) and en suite bathrooms with tub and overhead shower. One suite overlooks the southern garden, while the other overlooks the northern garden.
Mezzanine: The mezzanine level, located between the first floor and the ground floors, includes two double bedrooms with queen-size beds and en suite bathroom with tub and overhead shower. A staircase leads to an attic, with a junior suite with exposed wooden beams and a countryside view.
