In the heart or Tuscany, 15 min from Florence and 10 min from motorway, is located Villa Il Conte, an old house, dating back to the l7th century, belonged to Medici family; In due course, they used to go there for hunting in their own game reserve, that actually is a beautiful municipal park.
Near Villa Il Conte is situated an ancient little church which the inhabitants of the nearby village, reach by a “strada vicinale” (short-cut) adjoining this property. The road to arrive at Villa Il Conte is private, so the house is completely free-standing but not isolated, because in a couple of minutes you can reach the near lovely village, where there are supermarkets, banks, the post office, chemist’s shops and every kind shops.
The owners have carefully and lovingly restored the villa to its original splendour with great care to period details and elements of comfort.
The large living area with fireplace, connected to the dining room and to a comfortable and equipped brickwork kitchen, is perfect to spend pleasant evenings with the family or friends, tasting a glass of excellent wine of the private wine cellar of the owner (prices on the site).
The sleeping area, on the first floor, has access through two different stairs and it’s divided into two separate areas ensuring privacy if needed: an older area of the house, elegantly furnished with majolica floor and pastel colours accommodating 4 pretty bedrooms; an other recent area, more simply furnished in relation to the level of the house with other 3 bedrooms.
The garden with its secular cypresses and olive trees is all around the house and next to the park; here and there, your attention will be drawn to various old stone fountains and certainly to the magnifěcent view over the city and especially over the “Brunelleschi’s” dome.
The court is also equipped with a covered portico with pizza-oven and garden furnishings.
Few meters from the villa there is a panoramic equipped swimming pool (6 x 12 mt) with a beautiful waterfall effect, roman staircase and hydromassage area, from which it’s possible to admire an enchanting view.
