DESCRIPTION |
 |
This very special, beautiful property is in a gorgeous part of Umbria, in the countryside in the rolling hills near Todi and within easy distance of the E45 (the principal North/South carriageway in Umbria) and thus all the major tourist towns.
With a large pool (13 x 6m) and surrounded by almost one hectare of land consisting of gardens planted with olives and fruit trees, lavender and roses, the house dates back to 1800 and was beautifully restored by its current owners in the year 2000.
A stone build, it retains its original layout and proportions and many of its original features: terracotta flooring, vaulted ceilings, original stone stairs, terracotta tile ceilings supported by wooden beams, exposed brick walls, stone fireplaces. While parquet floors and wall paintings add to the character and rustically elegant style of the house, elements like the modern kitchen and the solar panels assure Villa delle Arti has its place in the 21st century.
On approx. 420 m2 on three floors, the property is currently a successfully run bed and breakfast with a large section of the house reserved for the owners. It could, however, be used as one large family home. |
